Respite Services
MVACL offers respite services to provide temporary relief for the primary caregivers of individuals with developmental/intellectual disabilities. These services also support the creation of an Individualized Support Plan rooted in person-directed planning, self-determination, social inclusion, citizenship, and choice.
Flexible Respite Options
Respite can be provided in various settings, including:
- The individual's usual residence (in the absence of their regular caregiver)
- Short-term overnight stays in hotels, camps, or other suitable locations
MVACL's Respite Home is available to individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities and their families. It is centrally located, just minutes from:
- The Hospital
- Grocery Store
- Pharmacy - Zurkowski Park
- Water Tower Park
- Library
- Public Beach
- MVACL's integrated community resource, Community Connect
Rates & Support
- Nightly rate: $50.00 (negotiable if cost is prohibitive)
- Day use: Rates determined individually
- Support arrangements: Users are responsible for arranging and providing their own support while using the Respite Home
